One of the key features of the movie Her (Spike Jonze, 2013) is the choice of colors and lighting. However, the romantic relationship between the protagonists, which is central to the film, is not based on sight but on hearing: they interact and fall in love just by talking to each other. My intention is to highlight their relationship through the film’s soundscape. The female voice-over guides us through the various stages of falling in love, interspersing words with sighs and laughter. From a visual standpoint, I emphasized pure and abstract color. Colors and gradients represent, in a synesthetic manner, the kaleidoscope of emotions experienced by the two characters.
